The process can begin at two different places; your house or our showroom. Either way, we are going to have to measure your house, so it is usually best to start there.
We will come to your house and take all of the necessary measurements; there is no charge for this. We will also bring literature from our different companies for you to look through and get ideas from. Be thinking ahead about where you want to locate the refrigerator, sink, stove, ect. But you don’t have to be firm in your opinions. We may have different ideas about where things should be located and will make suggestions.
After the measurements are completed, we will develop a layout just for your kitchen. Typically, computer images of the new kitchen are emailed to you for your review and any changes can be made at this time. During this time, please visit our showroom and select the door style and color that you are wanting. Once the selections are made we provide you with a quote.
If our quote is acceptable, great. If it is not within your budget, let us know and we can review the options to help you reduce costs.
It usually takes about four weeks for the cabinetry to arrive from the time of order. Installation will begin as soon as possible. Usually 2 or 3 days is required. If we are providing counter tops, it usually takes 7-14 days after the cabinetry is installed.
A kitchen triangle is a great rule of thumb to think about when planning your kitchen. The triangle is the distance between your stove, refrigerator and sink. No leg of the triangle should be less than 4 feet or greater than 9 feet. Add the sum of all three legs and that should be between 13 and 26. Less than 13 is definitely a “One Butt” kitchen (an industry term). More than 26 allows for too much help in the kitchen.
